Damon Amendolara joins Revs broadcast team

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Damon Amendolara, the host of 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “The DA Show,” has joined the New England Revolution’s broadcast team as a sideline reporter.

Amendolara, whose radio show airs 6-11 p.m. on weeknights (7 p.m.-midnight during the baseball season) on The Sports Hub, will make his debut on the Revolution’s broadcast on Saturday, May 15, when the Revs face the San Jose Earthquakes at 6 p.m. The match will be televised on Comcast SportsNet in high definition, and on the radio at 98.5 The Sports Hub.

“We’re very excited to bring Damon on board as part of our broadcasting crew and we believe he’s going to be a great addition to the team,” Revolution Chief Operating Officer Brian Bilello said. “Damon is a passionate soccer fan – and Boston sports fan - whom many of our fans listen to nightly. Damon will not only be a dynamic member of our broadcast team, but it also allows us to work even more closely with our radio partner, 98.5 The Sports Hub.”

Amendolara is no stranger to Major League Soccer. An avid soccer fan, Amendolara integrated his enthusiasm for the Kansas City Wizards in to his radio show while he worked in KC. He also did some sideline work for the team’s broadcasts.

Amendolara joins veteran play-by-play announcer Brad Feldman and color analyst Jay Heaps on the Revolution broadcast team. Feldman is in his 10th season calling Revs matches, while Heaps – a former Revs defender – is in his first after closing his 11-year MLS playing career this past offseason.
