2012: Made 18 regular-season appearances, starting seven. Played 677 minutes and finished with one goal and three assists. Scored against Philadelphia (July 4) in a 2-1 loss. Added an assist against FC Dallas (Apr 28), San Jose (May 23) and at Houston (May 26). Loaned to Norway’s Valerenga on July 31, 2012, and he closed the season with five appearances in the Tippeligaen. Was waived by LA at the conclusion of the season and was available in the 2012 Re-Entry Process.

2011: Traded from Toronto FC to the LA Galaxy on January 13, 2011, in exchange for future considerations. Started 20 of his 27 regular-season appearances in LA, playing 1,583 minutes. Finished second on the Galaxy with seven regular-season goals (eight goals in all competitions) and added five assists. The Galaxy went 8-0-0 when he scored and 4-1-0 when he had an assist. Scored his first goal for the Galaxy at Chicago (April 17), tallying late in the first half of a 2-1 win. A week later against Portland (April 23) he added a goal and an assist. He tallied his first multi-assist game of his MLS career against Sporting Kansas City (May 14). Missed two months of the season with an ankle injury. He scored six minutes after returning to the pitch against Alajuelense (CRC) in CONCACAF Champions League. He scored his 40th career MLS goal against Real Salt Lake (Oct 1). Started the Galaxy’s first three postseason games, but missed the MLS Cup final after suffering a dislocated right foot in training ahead of the game.

2010: Started 18 of his 23 regular-season appearances for Toronto FC, playing 1,545 minutes. Finished with seven goals and two assists. Scored two goals against Chicago (May 8). Added a goal in the Nutrilite Canadian Championship, which helped Toronto FC qualify for the CONCACAF Champions League for the first time in club history.

2009: Started 27 of his 29 regular-season appearances, playing 2,069 minutes. Finished with five goals and three assists. Scored his first goal of the season at FC Dallas (April 19). Added a goal against Columbus (May 2). Scored two goals at San Jose (July 20) in a 3-1 win. Scored in his return to Chicago (Sept. 26). Added two goals in the Nutrilite Canadian Championship.

2008: Started the season with the Chicago Fire, but was traded to Toronto FC on July 30, 2008, with the Fire’s 2009 first-round MLS SuperDraft pick and conditional future considerations in exchange for the top spot in the allocation order, which Chicago used to acquire Brian McBride. Made 29 regular-season appearances, including 27 starts, between Chicago (16 appearances, 14 starts) and Toronto (13 appearances, all starts). Played a total of 2,172 minutes (1,174 in Chicago, 998 in Toronto). Finished the year with a career-high nine goals (5 with CHI, 4 with TFC) and a career-high seven assists (4 with CHI, 3 with TFC). Scored two goals at New York (May 28) in a 5-1 win over Red Bulls. Added a goal in a 2-1 loss against D.C. United (June 4). His final assist for Chicago came against Toronto (July 12) in a 2-1 win. Made his debut with Toronto against FC Dallas (Aug. 3). Scored his first goal for Toronto at Colorado (Aug. 9) in a 1-0 win. Scored a goal against New England (Aug 23), his first at BMO Field, and added his first assist for TFC at Chivas USA (Sept. 6). His first two-goal game with Toronto came at New York (Oct. 4), tallying on either side of halftime, including the game-winner in a 3-1 win.

2007: Made 30 appearances, starting 25. Played 1983 minutes, finishing with a team-best seven goals, while adding two assists. Added his first assist of the season against New England (Oct 6), in a 2-1 win in which he also scored the game-winning goal. Scored his first postseason goal in the second leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Series win over D.C. United.

2006: Made 16 appearances, including nine starts. Scored five goals and added one assist. Played 778 minutes. Scored the first goal of the 2006 MLS season at FC Dallas (April 1) in a 3-2 loss. Added his second goal of the season at Kansas City (May 6). Scored his first career two-goal effort against Real Salt Lake (June 28) in a 22 minute appearance off the bench. Helped the Fire win the 2006 U.S. Open Cup with an assist in the final against LA (Sept. 27).

2005: Drafted by the Chicago Fire in the first round (third overall) of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft. Made 20 appearances, starting four, as a rookie. Scored one goal and added four assists while playing 594 minutes. Made his debut at FC Dallas (April 2). Scored his first career MLS goal at Real Salt Lake (May 28), helping Chicago win 3-0. Recorded his first career MLS assist against San Jose (April 16). He appeared in nine MLS Reserve Division games, in which he scored eight goals.

COLLEGE: Played two seasons at UCLA … made 23 career appearances, … started 17 games during his collegiate career … scored 16 goals and added 18 assists while helping the Bruins to a 34-6-3 record … a two-time Second Team All-Pac-10 performer (2003, 2004), 2003 Pac-10 Co-Freshman/Newcomer of the Year. He left UCLA after his sophomore season to sing with the MLS.

U.S. NATIONAL TEAM: Earned his first cap with the U.S. Men’s National Team on June 22, 2008, in a World Cup Qualifier at Barbados … He has represented the U.S. at the U-18, U-20, and U-23 levels … played in the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Holland where he scored three (3) goals
