A natural outside midfielder with great speed and a steady first touch who can also step inside in more of an attacking midfielder role … also a strong defender on the ball, Germanese has the ability to close quickly and mark like an outside back … is expected join the Revolution in the spring after finishing finish his degree requirements and graduating from Duke.

COLLEGE: Spent his final two collegiate seasons at national power Duke after transferring from Vanderbilt after his sophomore season … appeared in 40 games for the Blue Devils, starting 38, while scoring seven goals and adding 13 assists … including his two seasons at Vanderbilt, appeared in 76 career games with 64 starts, and scored 18 career goals and recorded 22 career assists … voted to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Team (second team) in 2007 and also earned NSCAA All-South honors as a senior … a member of the 2006 All-ACC Tournament Team as the Blue Devils won both the ACC regular-season and tournament titles … at Vanderbilt, was an All-Missouri Valley Conference selection as a sophomore in 2005 after garnering MVC freshman of the year accolades one year earlier in 2004.
