FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Boston Bruins play-by-play man Jack Edwards refers to it as “the vulnerable minute.” That period directly after a team scores when emotions are high and concentration has a tendency to dip.
The Revs were victims of that momentary lack of focus on Saturday night as they allowed New York Red Bulls midfielder Lloyd Sam to equalize just one minute after Diego Fagundez had handed them the lead.
“It’s disappointing to give up the goal the way we did,” said head coach Jay Heaps. “It’s right after we scored. We didn’t have any time to regroup. It was a momentary loss of concentration and boom, they score. That kills us.”
