TUCSON, Ariz. – Benny Feilhaber has a history of scoring breathtaking goals – most notably his stunning game-winner in the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup Final against Mexico – but the 27-year-old U.S. National Team midfielder admits he’s never scored a goal in quite the same fashion in which he scored on Wednesday night against the LA Galaxy.

Versatile Tierney honing in on left back role

TUCSON, Ariz. – Left midfield, left back, right back, center back, central midfield, defensive central midfield and attacking central midfield.

Officially, those are the seven different positions Chris Tierney has played in the past two seasons as the 26-year-old utility man has established himself as one of the most versatile players in Major League Soccer. As is often the case in cap-driven leagues like MLS, versatility has translated directly to value; Tierney was the only player to start at least 25 games for the Revolution in both 2010 and 2011.

2012 Reserve schedule announced

NEW YORK (Monday, February 20, 2012) – Major League Soccer has announced the schedule for the 2012 MLS Reserve League season. Each of the 19 MLS clubs will participate in 10 matches for a total of 95 Reserve League games. The full MLS Reserve League schedule is below.

The league will again be divided into Eastern, Central, and Western conferences with each team playing all games within their conference. The club list for each conference can be found below.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The Revolution travels to Tucson, Ariz., today to compete in the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup against the LA Galaxy, New York Red Bulls and Real Salt Lake. Following two weeks of training and four matches, the club will return to Foxborough, Mass. on Sunday, March 4, to prepare for MLS First Kick on Saturday, March 10, in San Jose.
