FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution will kick off the 2016 season with a month-long tour of some of New England’s favorite gathering places for soccer fans – pubs. During the course of the club’s official 2016 Pub Tour presented by Budweiser, eager fans will be able to attend watch parties, compete in club trivia, and meet some of their favorite players. The Pub Tour will officially begin on Sunday, March 6, at The Banshee in Boston, Mass. as well as Brass Monkey in Providence, R.I., and will continue with stops scattered throughout the month of March. All events will run from 6-8 p.m., with the exception of the Pub Tour Kickoff events, which will run from 2-5 p.m., and the National Anthem Auditions, which will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
A few highlights over the month-long tour include:
- Watch parties in Boston and Providence to watch the Revs take on the Houston Dynamo in the season opener
- Club trivia where Revs’ Play-By-Play man Brad Feldman will put fans’ knowledge to the test
- National Anthem Auditions with special guest hosts, including Revolution forward Charlie Davies and defender Jose Goncalves
There is no cover charge for any of the Revs' events and they are open to all fans aged 21 and older, unless otherwise specified. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to win tickets to the Revs’ home opener against D.C. United on Saturday, March 12. Fans will also be eligible to win select giveaways and additional prizes will be available as part of an enter-to-win raffle. Additional dates for the second half of the 2016 Pub Tour, along with confirmed player appearances, will be announced at a later date.
