Revolution schedule set for Desert Diamond Cup

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – For the fifth consecutive year, the New England Revolution will take part in the Desert Diamond Cup in Tucson, Arizona. The Revs are one of six MLS teams – along with the Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew SC, the Houston Dynamo, Real Salt Lake and Sporting Kansas City – that will participate in the competition, which will be held at the Kino Sports Complex from Feb. 17-27.


The Revs, who will travel to Tucson on Feb. 14 ahead of the start of the tournament, will open play in the Desert Diamond Cup on Wednesday, Feb. 17 when they take on Real Salt Lake. Three days later, the Revs will face Sporting Kansas City before playing the third of their scheduled games against the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday, Feb. 24. New England’s final game in Tucson will be played on Saturday, Feb. 27 with the opponent for that game being decided following the completion of the games on the 24th.

  • Wednesday, February 17 vs. Real Salt Lake: 10 p.m. at Kino North Stadium
  • Saturday, February 20 vs. Sporting Kansas City: 9:30 p.m. at Kino North Stadium
  • Wednesday, February 24 vs. Houston Dynamo: 7:30 p.m. at Kino North Stadium
  • Saturday, February 27 vs. TBD


Following the conclusion of the Desert Diamond Cup, the Revolution will return to New England to begin their final preparations ahead of the 2016 MLS regular season opener against the Houston Dynamo on Sunday, March 6 at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston.


The Revolution are scheduled to begin preseason training ahead of the 2016 MLS season in Foxborough on Friday, Jan. 22. The team will travel to Casa Grande, Arizona for 10 days of training on Tuesday, Jan. 26 and then train for a week in Foxborough before returning to Arizona for the Desert Diamond Cup.
