DL - Academy game U16s Youth

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – All three New England Revolution Academy teams were in action last weekend, going 1-0-2 against FC Boston Bolts on Sunday, Oct. 4 at Medway High School. The Under-18s opened up the day with a 2-2 draw against their local rivals before the Under-16s extended their unbeaten start to the season with a 0-0 tie, while the Under-14s claimed the Revs’ only win on the day with a 5-0 victory over the Bolts.
UNDER-18s
The Under-18s opened up the weekend with a 2-2 draw against FC Boston Bolts on Sunday, with Andrew Barrowman (Marshfield, Mass.) scoring his first two goals of the season. The Revs took the lead in the 37th minute when Isaac Angking (Providence, R.I.) found Barrowman just inside the area, and the forward controlled the ball before firing into the bottom corner to make the score 1-0.
The Bolts fought back in the second half and equalized with a 63rd minute penalty kick from Conor Larkin, but the Revs would respond with a penalty kick of their own with less than 10 minutes left to play. In the 82nd minute, Aaron James (Amherst, Mass.) was fouled just inside the Bolts area and Barrowman stepped up to convert the spot kick, making the score 2-1 with eight minutes remaining. However, the Revs were unable to hold on to their lead as Edi Mujan scored for the Bolts in the 87th minute to make the final score 2-2.
