“I just want to credit Montreal. I thought they were really good tonight and they did a great job. Unfortunately we weren’t good enough in any part of the field, and they took advantage of it.”

“It was a good play. Laurent made a great play on that. Credit their guys because they made plays. I think when you’re playing against a team, when they’re at home, the crowd was behind them, and they were going to die not to give up a goal.”

On the schedule

“No excuses. No one is thrilled the schedule is set up with a Sunday-Wednesday-Saturday, same as Toronto, and for me it doesn’t make any sense. We used our depth. I would have like to come out of here with a better performance, but in the end we regroup and go back to work on Monday.”

“I don’t think it was a big deal. We switched some players and today we give some players new chances. We gave up goals too easily. We had the ball more than Montreal yet we lost 3-0. We have to sit down, talk about anything, figure it out and then come back.”

“It was a tough one. The first one kind of hurt us a bit. I feel like it just kind of shocked us. We still had the ball but we fell out of our rhythm a little bit. The second was a deflection as well, and we were still chasing. Just one of the frustrating, tough games.”

“I think it was a great atmosphere, kind of the playoff atmosphere if you will. A team fighting to stay on top of the red line and were trying to fight to stay in first place. Just an unfortunate result, two deflections and we still didn’t play well.”

On how the game went

“I think we grew during the game. We played against an excellent team. The first half, because we wanted to follow Nguyen closely, we gave Jones a little more room, and they got a bit more of the ball. However they never unbalanced us, and in the second half, we had a great half, got our second goal, and we were able to close out the game.”

On the defense

“I think Miller, that’s two straight games that he’s played great. I think this was a dynamic team on the sides, they have a lot of players with a lot of quality there, and Miller was excellent, the entire defense was excellent. We suffered a little in the first but like I saw we grew as a team as the game went on.”

On Didier Drogba’s play

“He’s a big number nine that knows how to protect the ball. We didn’t have that before. Oduro has a different style where tries to find the ball deep, and Didier is someone that can hold the ball and bring the team forward. It gives our attack a new dynamic.”

“We want to attack. You see in the last couple of games we’re rotating our attackers. I’m coming off the bench, as well as a couple of other guys, and we want to go in and prove that this team is made up of more than one or two attackers.”
