Revolution Headlines: August 5

Jermaine Jones vs. Toronto FC

Tough Wednesday out here because there's no Revs game on Saturday. At least we're halfway to the weekend, am I right?!

Charlie Davies has been a bright spot for the Revolution this summer. He leads the team with nine goals, and has been their go to man on the attack. I think it's probably because I'm here and we're both Boston College Eagles. Just an observation ...

The fans were on their feet Saturday night when Jermaine Jones took the field in the 75th minute. This was his first appearance on the field since May, having undergone bilateral sports hernia surgery on June 12. Jones told the Boston Herald, "I think everybody who came to the game saw the support from the fans for the team and especially for me, it's great."

Amidst the excitement of his return to the field Jones had his family out to visit Boston. Jones' contract is set to expire after the 2015 season and he wanted his family to see the city he has been calling home. "It's nice, it's the first time they be in Boston," Jones told CSNNE.

Take a listen to this week's Far Post Podcast. So much good "banta" as the boys would say.
