FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution midfielder Lee Nguyen’s first-half goal against the Montreal Impact on Saturday night against the Montreal Impact is one of the five nominees for the MLS Goal of the Week award. Nguyen’s goal was his team-leading 13th of the season and his second to be nominated for Goal of the Week.

With the game tied at 1-1 in the 25th minute, Nguyen combined with Jermaine Jones and Charlie Davies to get free inside the penalty area before rounding goalkeeper Troy Perkins and deftly chipping the ball into the open net for the game-winning goal in the Revs’ 2-1 win. Nguyen’s MLS-best seventh game-winning goal of the season came just two minutes after the Revolution had equalized through Kelyn Rowe and helped the club earn their fifth consecutive victory.
