Fan voting now open for the 2014 Santander New England Revolution MVP

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Voting is now open for the 2014 New England Revolution Santander Most Valuable Player, which for the fifth season in a row will be selected by fan vote. Fans who vote for the MVP will also have the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes to win a pair of cleats signed by the 2014 MVP after entering their votes.

Revolution players who have appeared in at least 50 percent of the team’s 30 games as of Sept. 26 – or at least 15 games – are eligible to be voted this year’s MVP. The 2014 candidates include: Darrius Barnes, Teal Bunbury, Scott Caldwell, Andy Dorman, Diego Fagundez, Andrew Farrell, Jose Goncalves, Daigo Kobayashi, Patrick Mullins, Steve Neumann, Lee Nguyen, Kelyn Rowe, Bobby Shuttleworth, A.J. Soares and Chris Tierney.

Voting will remain open until 10 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 11.

The 2014 Revolution team award winners – including the Santander Most Valuable Player – will be announced on Saturday, October 25, in a pregame ceremony before the Revs face Toronto FC in the team’s 2014 home finale.
