FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution is extending its youth development model into Rhode Island after the Revolution Academy and Bruno United FC announced a partnership to bring Academy programming to the Providence-based club.

The new partnership will further expand Revolution Academy instructional and elite training programs in Rhode Island – exposing both players and coaches to the highly-ranked Revolution Academy’s training methodology – as Bruno United will host Revolution Academy Sports Performance Training and Revolution Training Centers for the club’s players.

Bruno United coaches also will benefit from Revolution Academy-run coaching clinics, and also have the opportunity to observe Revs’ first-team and youth-team training sessions at Gillette Stadium.

Additionally, Bruno United players and coaches will have the opportunity to attend Revolution home games and observe top-flight professional soccer through a special ticketing program.

“We are excited to partner with Bruno United FC, one of the premier youth soccer clubs in the New England region,” Deven Apajee, Revolution Academy Director, said. “This partnership allows Rhode Island’s youth players to work with coaches from the Revolution youth teams and training programs throughout the year. We hope to complement and increase the success that Bruno United has already had with our Player Development Programs, player identification events and coach education seminars.”

“We are proud to partner with the Revolution Academy,” John Tomlinson, Bruno United’s Director of Coaching, said. “Our technical staff is looking forward to new opportunities to learn new ideas and training methods, and our players and families will benefit from this greater exposure through the Revolution.”

Andy Blackadar, President of Bruno United FC’s Board of Directors, added, "This is a great opportunity for our players and coaches to partner with the region’s top-level professional club. We are committed providing excellent opportunities for our members and this is another way we believe we can strengthen soccer in the Rhode Island community."

Bruno United FC was founded in 2002 and is committed to providing top-level soccer coaching and competition for players in Rhode Island.
