FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Four star New England Revolution players – Matt Reis, Bobby Shuttleworth, A.J. Soares and Andrew Farrell – will step off of the pitch and behind the bar on Thursday, Aug, 22, to showcase their cocktail-shaking skills for charity. The Revs’ mixologists-in-training will take their shot at bartending at Clerys Boston (corner of Columbus and Dartmouth Street) as they mix, pour and serve cocktails for fans.

All tips the players receive during the event, cash or credit, will be donated directly to The One Fund Boston, which has raised close to $65 million for the victims and families affected by the tragic events at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013.

The One Fund Boston is a cause close to the Revolution players and staff, including featured guest bartender and Revs goalkeeper Matt Reis, who was at the scene of the first bombing where his father-in-law, John Odom, was critically injured.

“Our Celebrity Bartending event is a really fun event, and it’s a great opportunity for our fans to see us out of our element,” Reis said. “And with this year’s event benefitting The One Fund, which is a charity that’s close to our team’s heart, we’re very excited to see a lot of fans come down and show their support. Anything that we can do to give back and help those affected by the tragic events at the Marathon, we’re all in.”

The celebrity bartending event will kick-off at 6 p.m. at Clerys, with the players serving up cocktails from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The Revs Girls will also be on site to take photos and distribute giveaways to fans.

There is no cover charge for the event and fans are encouraged to come out and support The One Fund Boston and the Revs.
