FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution will launch a series of collections in July, encouraging fans to make specific donations of goods at three of its remaining games at Gillette Stadium this year. Donations of soccer equipment (July), school supplies (August) and winter coats (September) will support three local organizations with their community enhancement efforts.

The series will launch on July 13 at the Revolution’s game against the Houston Dynamo, when the club will collect donations of new or gently-used soccer equipment. Project GOAL – a Rhode Island-based program that facilitates the development of the state’s disadvantaged youth through after-school tutoring and soccer-related programs – will receive the items collected, and use the equipment for their soccer-related activities.

Continuing on Saturday, August 17, at the Revs’ match against the Chicago Fire, the Revolution will collect school supplies to support Boston’s Cradles to Crayons, which provides children up to the age of 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive.

During the last collection on, Saturday, September 21, at the match against D.C. United, fans will be asked to donate new or gently-used coats for the Worcester County Sheriff’s office’s annual coat drive. The sheriff’s office distributes thousands of coats to community centers throughout the area each year

Fans who make a donation will receive a player card, autographed by a Revolution player.

Donations will be accepted between 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at each of the three games. Collections will be taken at the Bank of America Gate (northwest corner) and NRG Plaza (north end).
