FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution is scheduled to train five times this week as off-season training continues ahead of the 2013 season.


The team will officially close the 2012 season at the end of next week with exit physicals on Friday, Nov. 16, at Gillette Stadium.

Revs, Midnight Riders committed to “Movember” efforts

Members of the Revolution front office, as well as one of the club’s supporter groups – The Midnight Riders, are participating in “Movember,” an international mustache-growing pogram to raise funds and awareness of men’s cancers this November … fans can support the “Movember” teams by donating to members of the front office (HERE) and to the Riders (HERE) … the Riders are currently ranked second of 27 teams in the MLS network and have raised more than $850 in the first week.


MLS W.O.R.K.S. Supports Sandy Relief Efforts

One week ago, Superstorm Sandy pummeled the northeastern United States, leaving countless families in need … various national organizations continue to accept aid for those affected, including the American Red Cross and Canadian Red Cross … MLS W.O.R.K.S. has established a landing page with information for MLS fans about how they can help, both at the national level and local on-the-ground levels … for details on local and national programs assisting those affected by Sandy, click HERE.


Soares Continues Boston Battle Against Bullies

Revolution defender A.J. Soares continues to work with The Sports Museum’s initiative “Boston vs. Bullies” as program returns to expand on its anti-bullying awareness message … Soares – who joined the cause as a rookie in 2011 – will participate in a special PSA presentation ceremony at the Tobin Community Center in Roxbury at 4p.m., on Tuesday, November 13… Boston Mayor Menino will recognize Soares, Brandon Bass (Boston Celtics) and Patrick Chung (New England Patriots) at the event … for more information about the Boston vs. Bullies campaign, visit HERE.


FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup in February

For the second year in a row, the Revs will participate in the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup this February to wrap up their preseason training … the New York Red Bulls and Real Salt Lake – both teams competed in the 2012 tournament – and Seattle Sounders FC will also join the Revs in Tucson for the tournament … the round-robin group games will be played on Wednesday, Feb. 13, Saturday, Feb. 16 and Wednesday, Feb. 20, before the championship (which will be televised by NBC Sports Network) and consolation games are played on Saturday, Feb. 23 … for more information, visit HERE.


2013 Season Tickets Now on Sale

2013 season tickets are now on sale … a special video including a list of pricing, all the benefits of becoming a season-ticket holder, and more, can be found HERE … the Revs finished the 2012 home schedule on a five-game unbeaten streak (2-0-3) and averaged 24,949 fans in its last home two games of the season.


YOUTH UPDATE
Youth Unbeaten Against Bolts

This past weekend, the Revs’ three youth teams went unbeaten – with a combined record of 2-0-1 – against rivals FC Bolts Celtic (formerly FC Greater Boston) at Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass, on Sunday, Nov. 4… the U18s topped the Bolts, 3-1, while the U16s came away with a 1-1 draw and the U14s earned a convincing 7-1 victory.


Seacoast United Up Next

The Under-18s and Under-16s are set to play two games each at Durfee High School in Fall River, Mass., this weekend … the Revs will take on Seacoast United on Saturday, Nov. 10, before playing the Montreal Impact on Sunday, Nov. 11 … the U14s are off both days, and will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 17.
