FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution youth teams faced division rivals FC Greater Boston at Fruit Street Athletic Field Complex in Hopkinton, Mass., on Monday, May 28, going a combined 2-0-0 against their arch rivals.

After going a combined 0-1-1 against Greater Boston on Saturday, May 19, the Revs' youth teams swept their opponents in the home portion of the clubs' two-game series.

UNDER-18s

The Under-18s earned a 5-0 victory against FC Greater Boston on Monday. After a strong start, Manny Andrade (Boston, Mass.) - assisted by Mitchell Taintor (Storrs, Conn.) - opened the Revs' account in the ninth minute. Andrade then earned an assist on Dominik Machado's (Attleboro, Mass.) 31st-minute goal, slipping his teammate through to score from a tight angle. New England continued to capitalize on its momentum in the second half. Machado put away a second goal in the 53rd minute, when Greater Boston goalkeeper Jack Blatchford was unable to control a powerful shot from Colin Patch (Providence, R.I.). Machado latched onto rebound, heading it home. Ramiro Osorio (Hooksett, N.H.) scored a pair of goals to close out the game, both assisted by Jack Hilger (Hopkinton, Mass.). In the 71st minute, Osorio received a pass from Hilger, and beat three defenders en route to scoring his first goal. Three minutes later, Osorio scored again, his left-footed shot going between substitute goalkeeper Ryan Benner Simpson's legs. Revolution goalkeeper Matt Mozynski (Bellingham, Mass.) made four saves to preserve the shutout.

UNDER-16s

The Under-16s topped FC Greater Boston, 4-1, on Monday. Zach Herivaux (Brookline, Mass.) put the Revs ahead in just the third minute of play with a goal assisted by Gabe Gissie (Worcester, Mass.). Herivaux received the ball inside the 18 and unleashed a shot, which was parried into the goal by Greater Boston goalkeeper David Price. Declan McCabe (Weston, Mass.) then scored on a direct free kick in the 18th minute. Greater Boston pulled one back to make it 2-1 in the 22nd minute with Alex Ainscough converting a free kick. On the other side of the break, Gissie scored a pair of goals. The forward slotted his first home in the 46th minute, and followed up with a second in the 62nd minute - both assisted by Herivaux. The Revs' three-goal advantage held through to the final whistle, earning them a pivotal three points against a Northeast Division opponent.

With the pair of wins, the Under-18 team (9-8-3, 30 pts.) jumped four spots in the standings of the Northeast Division in U.S. Soccer Development Academy's East Conference - from fifth place to first place - while the Under-16 team (12-6-2, 38 pts.) is now in second place in the division.

The youth teams are back on the road this weekend, meeting FC Westchester in Purchase, N.Y., on Saturday, June 2, before taking on Albertson FC in Hempstead, N.Y., on Sunday, June 3.
