FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – On Wednesday, New England Revolution rookie Kelyn Rowe made a surprise lunch delivery to Kerrilee Shea (Quincy, Mass.) of Boston Children’s Hospital – the winner of the team’s “Lunch with Dunkin’” sweepstakes.
In honor of Administrative Professionals Day, Revolution fans nominated their favorite administrative professional by entering them in the New England Revolution’s “Lunch with Dunkin” sweepstakes. Shea was nominated by Alison Armstrong, who also works in the Boston Children’s Hospital’s Department of Neurosurgery.
Rowe delivered lunch – which included Dunkin’ Donuts’ new Bakery Sandwiches and iced tea – to Shea, Armstrong and eight other Department of Neurosurgery employees. Holed up in a conference room under the pretext of an afternoon meeting, the “Awesome Administrative Professional” was thrilled to find out that she had won when the Revolution midfielder made his entrance.
After the group enjoyed their meal while chatting about soccer and working at Children’s Hospital, Rowe took the short walk to chief of neurosurgery Dr. Alan R. Cohen's office, which is full of Elvis Presley memorabilia. Though unavailable for lunch, Cohen – a Revolution fan – has photos of Rowe occupying his workspace to remember the afternoon by.
