FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution midfielder Sainey Nyassi, a native of The Gambia, has gained permanent resident status from the U.S. government and will now count as a domestic player on the Revolution’s roster.

Nyassi originally signed with the Revolution on Aug. 31, 2007, following the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Canada. He has made 103 appearances in his five previous seasons, including 75 starts, while scoring eight goals and adding four assists.
