Revolution head coach Nichol
Impressions on the game-
“We got ourselves ahead and they didn’t really give us any problems in the first half. I’m Disappointed that we didn’t really finish the chances but we were 1 Nil up, and everything was fine. In the second half when we did get the ball we kept turning it over, which meant we ended up not having a lot of it.”
On the introduction of Emilio Renteria being a game changer
“It never changed much. He should’ve scored four but it was bad defending on our part. We need to make good decisions defending. When you don’t get yourself in a good position defensively, that encourages the other team to get into those holes, and that’s exactly what they did.”

Revolution captain Shalrie Joseph
On the match
“At the end of the day we can’t keep the possession, and we can’t keep the ball when we need to and it came back to cost us. The goal comes from us giving up possession and us not being solid enough defensively. We knew they were going to send numbers forward, but that’s what happens when you’re not solid defensively and mentally and it’s costing us points.”
On Feilhaber’s goal
-“Yea it was a great goal. Pat [Phelan] and Stephen [McCarthy] knocked a one two to get a great goal and going up 1-0 was definitely a great feeling.” “

Revolution midfielder Benny Feilhaber
On his goal
“Anytime you get the lead you think you’re going to win the game. Everybody was actually trying to play futbol and it was crazy they threw the ball into me. Pat [Phelan] was able to find me again and he led me on perfect, and it was actually a pretty easy finish after that.”
On the team’s consistency
“There’s stuff that happened with our team, that is week to week and I can’t even understand it. It’s really frustrating and it’s like that feeling like, here we go again.”Honestly, I don’t think we played that bad. We put good combinations together but it wasn’t to be.”

Crew head coach Robert Warzycha
Impressions on the game
“We played a very solid game. Even when we were down after the first half we played very well, especially in the first thirty minutes. Later, tactically some of the guys were a little too high, and that’s why we couldn’t possess the ball but we made some adjustments at half time and the game opened up. The first goal was very important, it came from nowhere, but after that we just dominated.”
On being down a goal at the half and bouncing back
“It was a great response from the guys, we talked about it at halftime, that it was not the first time we were down 1-0 at home and we talked about being able to score some goals in the second half late in the game. We played smarter in the second half and that is why we scored goals.”
On Emilio Renteria’s performance
“All the subs we made did very well today, Dilly [Duka] was very active, Anor also gave us something when he came in so it is nice, especially for the guys who have been playing from the first minute, to know that they have subs that can come in with a lot of energy and take over the game.”
On Dilly Duka’s performance
“we talked about energy and that’s what he brought. He was very clean on the ball, made some good choices and we possessed the ball better with him in the game to be honest.”
On scoring on set pieces
“We’ve been trying to do that since the first game of the season. You always look for goals on set pieces because, usually, they are relatively easy goals. Lately it was very difficult for us because we couldn’t connect with the cross. Tonight’s goal was perfect timing as it put us up 2-1. The service was good, the run was good and I’m very happy that we scored on a set piece.”

Crew captain Chad Marshall
On the game
“It feels good. I’m glad we turned it around the second half. The subs that came in really changed the game for us which brought a different dynamic especially with Emilio [Renteria] and Dilly [Duka].It wasn’t too late when we tied the game so fortunately enough we were able to get two more.”
