Ahead of the Monday night’s Welcome Event for season ticket holders, both MLS Commissioner Don Garber and Investor/Operator Jonathan Kraft spent time with the Boston Globe and Boston Herald to talk about the state of the Revs.

Frank Dell’Apa talked to both for the Globe about how the Boston soccer market could be one of the best in MLS with a urban-area stadium, while Kyle McCarthy looked further at the team – and league’s – desire for a downtown stadium.

New England Soccer Today has a look at Zack Schilawski’s recent play as a lone forward in the Revs’ formation, while Kristian Dyer out of New York had his piece on Juan Agudelo’s promise for the U.S. National Team, which ran in the Boston Metro.

On a national level, Goal.com checks with its weekly rankings – including a big rise for the Revs – while Steve Davis gives his Five Things over at SI.com, including a Revs defender among his Team of the Week.

Over at Soccer Soap Box, the team’s recent streak of “luck” is looked at in light of the team’s past “bad luck,” while the Bent Musket looks back at the D.C. game with the writer’s opinions of the proceedings.
