International Pair Added
Newly-signed central midfielder Ousmane Dabo, 34, and center back Franco Coria, 22, joined the Revs for training Monday at the Dana-Farber Field House … Dabo joins the Revs following a 15-year career in the top leagues of France, Italy and England and will wear jersey No. 6 … Coria comes to the Revs from Argentina’s Chacarita Juniors and we will wear jersey No. 2 … each player will occupy one of New England’s eight international spots.


Transition Defense
After surrendering a league-high 50 goals in 2010, the Revs made significant changes to the defensive group and added four defenders in the offseason … with the new personnel, the Revs went 3-0-0 in Orlando, Fla., with shutout wins over the University of Central Florida (Feb. 18, 2-0), members of the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team (Feb. 21, 2-0) and FC Dallas (Feb. 23, 1-0) … off-season acquisition Didier Domi (left back) and Ryan Cochrane (center back), as well as SuperDraft selections A.J. Soares (center back) and Stephen McCarthy (central midfield) each debuted at back on the trip, while Zak Boggs saw a 213 minutes of action at right back over three games after Kevin Alston picked up an injury to his left hamstring.


Potent Midfield
The Revs scored five goals during their trip to Orlando, Fla., with the midfield unit accounting for all five tallies … leading the group was Chris Tierney with one goal and one assist against the U.S. Under-17s and one assist against UCF … central midfielder Shalrie Joseph scored against UCF, while Pat Phelan tallied against the U17s … right winger Ryan Kinne scored the game-winner against UCF and Sainey Nyassi tallied the only goal in 1-0 win over FC Dallas.

Individual game tickets to 2011 Revolution matches are now on sale ... tickets purchased in advance start at $20 for The Fort, and $21 for corner seats … the 2011 season marks the first season in Gillette Stadium history that the West side of the stadium will be opened for Revolution regular-season matches … for more information or to purchase tickets, call 1-877-GET-REVS or visit revolutionsoccer.net.


Conference Calls From Atlanta
A pair of conference calls from the Atlanta trip have been scheduled for regional and national media on Monday, March 7, and Saturday, March 12 … head coach Steve Nicol and selected players will be available on the calls … details for the conference calls will be distributed 36-48 hours ahead of the calls to members of the media.


Media Day – March 16, 2011
The Revolution will hold its annual Media Day on Wednesday, March 16, at Gillette Stadium … every member of the Revolution roster and coaching staff will be on hand and available to media, following a press luncheon and press availability for Chief Operating Officer Brian Bilello and Vice President of Player Personnel Michael Burns.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT NEWS

Spring Slate Opens Saturday
The Revolution youth teams will train on their normal schedule this week, practicing Tuesday through Thursday, 5-7 p.m., at Forekicks in Marlborough, Mass. … the teams resume game action this weekend, taking on NJSA 04 Saturday, March 5, and Match Fit Chelsea Sunday, March 6, on the Gillette Stadium field … the U18s will play each day at 10 a.m., with the U16s taking the field at 12:30 p.m.


DeNormandie Named Mass. Player of the Year
U18 forward Cole DeNormandie (Lincoln, Mass, Lincoln-Sudbury H.S.) was named the 2010-11 Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year … he is the first state player of the year from the Revs’ youth program … DeNormandie plays with the Revs Under-18 team, and scored 18 goals with six assists for Lincoln-Sudbury High in 2010 … DeNormandie has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at the University of Cincinnati.
