Kick time set for home opener

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution’s 2011 home opener against arch-rival D.C. United will kick off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 26. The match had previously been announced with a to-be-determined kickoff time. Broadcast information for the match will be announced at a later date.


The March 26 home-opening date is the earliest the team will have played its first date in Foxborough in the league’s 16-year history. The previous earliest date was March 29, 2008, when the team opened the season against Houston.


Four-game mini-plans are on sale now for the 2011 season, and start at $68. The four-game plans include tickets to the home opener against United, and three additional stand-alone games, a 2011 Revolution calendar and a choice of one of four exclusive gifts. There is also a six-game option. Season tickets for the 2011 New England Revolution season are also on sale – including packages for the newly-opened West Side seats – and start at $234 for 18-game packages.
