Mansally and Nyassi called up to Gambia National Team

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution midfielders Kenny Mansally and Sainey Nyassi have been called up to the Gambia National Team for the squad’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Burkina Faso on Saturday, Oct. 9, in Burkina Faso. 


As a result of their call-ups, Mansally and Nyassi will miss the Revolution’s match against the Houston Dynamo on Sunday, Oct. 10, in Houston. The pair will travel to Belgium for pre-qualifier training camp with Gambia on Sunday, Oct. 3.


Mansally, 21, has five caps with the Gambia National Team, while Nyassi, 21, has three caps with two goals. Nyassi scored in the team’s earlier Africa Cup of Nations qualifier victory over Namibia on Sept. 4, in Banjul, Gambia.


The Revolution (7-14-5, 26 pts.) returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 2, when they host defending MLS Cup champion Real Salt Lake at 7:30 p.m. Comcast SportsNet will televise the game, while 98.5 The Sports Hub will have the call of the game on the radio.
