Injury Report - May 14, 2010

The New England Revolution athletic training staff released the Friday injury report following this morning's final training session before Saturday's match against the San Jose Earthquakes. With the team only able to travel 14 players to New York for the midweek U.S. Open Cup match, the Revs appear to have two more players back and available for selection this weekend.

PROBABLE: Kevin Alston (R hamstring strain), Cory Gibbs (R quadriceps strain)

DOUBTFUL: Edgaras Jankauskas (R hamstring strain)

OUT: Darrius Barnes (R midfoot sprain), Emmanuel Osei (R leg infection), Matt Reis (L shoulder/knee surgeries), Taylor Twellman (concussion), Mike Videira (L ankle Os Trigonum)

Kevin Alston and Cory Gibbs, both listed as QUESTIONABLE on Tuesday's report, have been upgraded to PROBABLE following training. Gibbs had full participation in the light session, while Alston had full participation and then did some extra work on the side following team activities.

Edgaras Jankauskas has been downgraded to DOUBTFUL this week but participated in all activities at training today, the only training session the team had this week.

Darrius Barnes and Mike Videira are still both listed as OUT and did not participate in any team activities this week, while Emmanuel Osei also continues to deal with an infection in his leg.

Matt Reis and Taylor Twellman, while both still OUT with long-term rehabilitations, both participated in all activities at training today, although there was no game action. Reis joined the goalkeepers in their full workout in goal, while Twellman went through the warm-up and side possession activities before working on shooting at the end of training.
