Should the Revolution face Harrisburg, the game would be played on Tuesday, June 30. If the Revs face Western Mass, the match would be played on Wednesday, July 1. Kickoff for either match date will be 7 p.m.

Advance tickets for the event are $13 and will be on sale at the discounted rate through Monday, June 29, and $10 discounted tickets are also available for groups of 20 or more. Tickets purchased at the gate on game day will be $18. Tickets can be purchased online at new-britain.net or by calling the New Britain Parks and Recreation Department at (860) 826-3360.

The Revolution will learn its third-round opponent following the Tuesday, June 16, second-round match between Western Mass and Harrisburg, which will be played in Harrisburg. The winner will meet the Revs in New Britain on either June 30 or July 1.

The Revolution has played four previous U.S. Open Cup matches at Veterans Stadium, boasting a 3-1 record all time. Since 2007, the Revs have gone 3-0 at the stadium in USOC play, including a penalty kick victory over the Carolina Railhawks (USL-1) in the 2007 semifinals.

The U.S. Open Cup has existed for more than 80 years and incorporates American soccer clubs of every level - ranging from Major League Soccer pro teams to the amateur leagues. The annual event, which began in 1914, also ranks among the oldest cup competitions in the world. The single-elimination tournament was born as the National Challenge Cup, and was modeled after England’s Football Association Cup.
