“MLS 36 | Diego Fagundez” hits Comcast SportsNet for special local re-airs

The 30-minute all-access look into 18-year-old Revolution phenom’s life comes to Comcast Sports

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – “MLS 36 | Diego Fagundez,” the 30-minute, all-access special about the New England Revolution’s 18-year-old phenom, Diego Fagundez, is coming to Comcast SportsNet with special local re-airs.

Originally broadcast on the NBC Sports Network, Comcast SportsNet will re-air the behind-the-scenes special beginning Saturday, Aug. 17, when it premiers at 7 p.m., immediately before the Revs face the Chicago Fire on the network at 7:30 p.m.

The remaining re-air schedule for August follows:

  • Saturday, August 17 at 9:30 p.m. (immediately following the Revolution-Fire match)
  • Friday, August 23 at 12:30 a.m.
  • Sunday, August 25 at 7 p.m. (immediately preceding the Revolution-Philadelphia Union match)
  • Monday, August 26 at 8 p.m.

“MLS 36” gives fans new insight into the life and preparations of an MLS player in the 36 hours before a game. Fagundez was spotlighted on July 5 and July 6, with his preparations leading up to the Revolution’s 2-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes at Gillette Stadium.

From being woken up at his parents’ house in Leominster, Mass, on Friday morning, July 5, to the postgame fireworks celebration at Gillette Stadium following Saturday night’s win, the “MLS 36” cameras followed Fagundez as he and his family got ready for the San Jose match.

“MLS 36 | Diego Fagundez” is the eighth episode in the “MLS 36” franchise, which began in 2012. Prior players who have been featured include 2012 Golden Boot winner Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes), Fredy Montero (formerly of Seattle Sounders FC), Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Darlington Nagbe (Portland Timbers), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy) and Matt Besler/Aurelien Collin (Sporting Kansas City).
