FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (2-4-0, 6 pts.) has a bye weekend scheduled and will train three additional times this week ahead of next week’s nationally televised match on the road against the New York Red Bulls at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, April 28. TEAM NOTES

Revs enter bye week
After six consecutive weeks of games, the Revs (2-4-0, 6 pts.) enter the first of their four bye weekends this season … after this weekend’s break, the team will play seven games in the next six weeks before its next bye weekend on June 9 … the Revs will have bye weekends again on Sept. 8 and Oct. 13, both FIFA date weekends.

Fans have to find their seats early
In the three games in which the Revs have scored goals, fans have barely had a chance to sit down before the action starts … the club has now scored four goals in the first 15 minutes of matches – one behind league-leader New York (five goals) in that opening window… Jose Moreno’s sixth-minute goal on Saturday against D.C. was the second time the Revs struck first within 15 minutes at home, following Saër Sène’s first-minute goal on March 24 against Portland … while the Revs have been shut out three times on the road, the team did find two goals in the first 15 minutes at LA on March 31, when Kelyn Rowe (10th minute) and Chris Tierney (13th minute) gave the visitors an early lead.

And there’s been plenty of late-game action
Last Saturday against D.C., the Revs conceded a goal in the last 10 minutes of play for the second consecutive game … goals conceded in the 82nd minute against D.C. on Saturday and in the fifth minute of stoppage time at Dallas on April 5 have resulted in losses despite entering the last 10 minutes tied … the Revs have now conceded three goals in the 76th minute or later, tied for third with LA, and trailing only Montreal (four goals) and league leader Portland (five goals).

Struggles in one-goal games
The Revs are 1-3-0 in one-goal games, following Saturday’s 2-1 loss to D.C. … the club has lost its last two games, both one-goal contests: 1-0 at Dallas and 2-1 against United, surrendering late-goals in both matches … the Revs went 3-10-0 in one-goal games in 2011 and conceded game-winning or game-tying goals after the 75th minute eight separate times.

Young Gun Putting Shots on Goal
Headed into the bye weekend, rookie Kelyn Rowe is tied for eighth in MLS for shots on goal (9), tied with Portland’s Kris Boyd, Toronto’s Danny Koevermans, and Chicago’s Dominic Oduro … Kansas City’s Kei Kamara leads the league with 15 shots on goal in six games … the 20-year-old Rowe recorded his first career goal at LA on March 31.
