Mansally and Nyassi called up to Gambia National Team

Duo called in for match against Algeria; Nyassi will not report because of injury

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution midfielders Kenny Mansally and Sainey Nyassi have been called up to the Gambia National Team for the squad’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria on Wednesday, Feb. 29, in the Gambia. Nyassi, however, is unable to report after suffering a hamstring injury in a recent Revolution scrimmage.

Mansally will join the Gambia on Wednesday, Feb. 22, and will miss the Revolution’s pre-season trip to Tucson, Ariz. for the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup.

Mansally, 23, has nine caps with the Gambia National Team, while Nyassi, 23, has four caps and two goals.
