The Revs used their third overall pick of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft to add UCLA midfielder Kelyn Rowe on Thursday. According to the Boston Herald, head coach Jay Heaps selected Rowe because of his ability on the ball. Heaps explained, “That’s important for us because we want to be a possession-oriented team and we want to keep the ball. He’s a player that can do it.”
 
Second-round draft pick Tyler Polak discusses his decision to turn pro following his sophomore season at Creighton with his hometown Lincoln Journal Star. After an exciting and emotional draft day, Polak returned to Lincoln, Neb. for a few days before reporting to the Boston area for preseason, which begins on Monday.
