The Revs open the 2011 MLS season on Sunday evening against the LA Galaxy – winners of the 2010 Supporters’ Shield. Andy Huffman from Football Boston sees the Galaxy as a team filled with aging giants.
The New England Rebellion – one of the main supporters groups for the Revs – is putting its collective voice together to raise money in support of the Red Cross relief effort in Japan. The Rebellion is raffling off an autographed 2010 Revs practice jersey on its website to raise money for the organization.
Sports Illustrated’s soccer experts got together to make their predictions for the upcoming MLS season. Read what Grant Wahl, Steve Davis, Avi Creditor and Jen Chang had to say on everything concerning the 2011 season. Davis also provided a comprehensive preview of the entire 2011 Eastern Conference, naming New York and Houston as the teams to beat.
The MLS announced an expanded Direct Kick television package for the 2011 season, featuring more games than ever and a free preview for fans on March 19.
