Jankauskas ready to make a return for Revs
New England received a boost on Tuesday as two potential
contributors continued on the road to recovery ahead of Saturday's clash with
Long-term injury victims Nico Colaluca (left knee sprain) and
Edgaras Jankauskas (right calf strain) were upgraded to questionable in the
injury report issued by the team on Tuesday as they hope to feature for the
first time this season against the Rapids.
Both players have increased their work on the practice field
in hopes of making a return sooner rather than later. Colaluca served as the
neutral player in a series of 8-v-8 matches during training on Tuesday, while
Jankauskas jumped straight into the fray as one of the full-fledged

they would bolster a Revolution side in need of additional reinforcements.
Colaluca could provide cover for right midfielder Sainey Nyassi, particularly
in light of Zak Boggs being placed on the injury list this week (questionable –
right knee and right ankle sprains).
More importantly, to a Revolution attack that has struggled
at points this season without a true target presence up front, Jankauskas could
lend a steady figure to lead the line and help the Revolution maintain
possession with greater frequency.
Revolution coach Steve Nicol said he is eager for Jankauskas
to overcome the nagging injury he suffered during the preseason and return to
