The New England Revolution will once again collect supplies for area charities and non-profit organizations this year, beginning on June 8. This season, the third year of the Charitable Drive Series, the Revolution has expanded to five collection dates.

COLLECTION DETAILS

  • Drive Series Collection Booths will be located outside the nrg Plaza and Bank of America gates.
  • The collections will begin two (2) hours before kickoff and close fifteen (15) minutes after the start of the game.
  • Donors will receive a Revolution Drive Series player card signed by a Revs player.

JUNE 8 VS. NEW YORK RED BULLS – PET SUPPLIES DRIVE

CHARITY: Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals-Angell Animal Medical Center.

The MSPCA-Angell is the second-oldest humane society in the U.S., and is a national and international leader in animal protection and veterinary medicine. The center provides care for thousands of animals each year, including medical treatment. Blankets, towels, sheets, canned food, treats and durable toys are always needed, and a complete list of items needed for various types of animals is available at the MSPCA-Angell website.

JUNE 28 VS. PHILADELPHIA UNION – SOCCER EQUIPMENT DRIVE

CHARITY: Project GOAL

The Revolution will collect new or gently-used soccer equipment that will be donated to Project GOAL, a Rhode Island-based program that facilitates the development of the area’s disadvantaged youth through after-school tutoring and soccer-related programs. Soccer balls, cleats, shin guards, water bottles, pinnies and cones are all needed to support Project GOAL’s programming.

AUGUST 23 VS. CHIVAS USA – SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE

CHARITY: Cradles to Crayons

With school getting back in session, the Revolution will collect school supplies to support Boston’s Cradles to Crayons, which provides children up to the age of 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive. Notebooks, pencils, pens, binders and other school supplies will be collected for area children in need

SEPTEMBER 13 VS. MONTREAL IMPACT – “COMFORTS OF HOME” DRIVE

CHARITY: USO New England

Fans can donate items that provide military members the “comforts of home,” donating New England-based items to remind them of their home region in conjunction with the USO New England on Sept. 13. Items and gift cards from local restaurants, as well as beverages and snacks from regional companies can help cheer up service men and women. USO New England, with its headquarters in Boston, continues an old New England tradition: offering a warm and friendly hand to those in uniform.

OCTOBER 4 VS. COLUMBUS CREW – FOOD DRIVE

CHARITY: Greater Boston Food Bank

The Revolution will collect non-perishable food items that will benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB). The Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest food banks in the country. Last year, the GBFB distributed 48 million pounds of food, enough to provide healthy meals to as many as 545,000 people

  • Non-perishable, food items
