Assistant Coach, Under-14s
RDS Technical Staff
Kyle Teixeira is in his third season as an assistant coach with the Revolution Academy’s youth teams, and his ninth season overall with the Revolution Academy. In addition to his Under-14 team coaching duties, Teixeira has been coaching with the Revolution Academy’s Player Development Programs since joining the organization as a staff coach in 2006.
Teixeira is one of Gary Hall’s assistant coaches for the Under-14 team, which finished third in U.S. Club Soccer’s 20-team Northeast Pre-Academy League in 2012-13. In 2013-14, the U14s went 18 games unbeaten between October 2013 and June 2014 in the age group’s first season in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
Outside of his bench coaching responsibilities, Teixeira is in his second season serving as the designated skills coach for the Academy, working with all three youth teams to further develop their foot skills on the ball.
The Warren, R.I., native played four seasons at Rhode Island College, leading the Anchormen to their first-ever Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship. A four-time First Team All-Conference honoree, three-time conference player of the year and four-time conference top scorer, Teixeira was inducted into RIC’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. Most recently, he played with the Western Mass Pioneers (USL Second Division – 2005-2007) – earning a nomination for the 2007 USL rookie of the year – and the Massachusetts Twisters (AISL – 2005-2007).
Teixeira received his Futsal coaching certification in the fall of 2013.
