Assistant Coach, Under-18s
Head Coach, Real Boston Ram (PDL affiliate)
Hobie Hare is in his third season as an assistant coach with the New England Revolution’s Under-18 team. He is also the head coach of Real Boston Rams, the Revolution’s PDL affiliate.
Hare helped coach the Under-18 team to its fourth playoff berth in the last five years (2010, 2012, 2013, 2014) in 2013-14.
An experienced college coach, Hare spent one season as an assistant with Tufts University’s men’s soccer program following three seasons as the assistant coach at DePaul University, helping lead the Blue Demons to three-consecutive berths in the BIG EAST Tournament. Hare also served as an assistant coach at Florida Gulf Coast University, the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and Rider University.
Hare also spent time coaching at the club level, serving as Director of Training for the Cape Coral Soccer Association – the third-largest soccer club in Florida – in 2007 and 2008.
He played collegiately at the University of Connecticut for legendary coach Joe Morrone. After two seasons at UConn, he transferred to Rider University, where he played in two NCAA tournaments, and he helped the team win two MAAC championships.
After UConn, Hare played professionally in England for Leyton Orient, before returning to the U.S. with stints with the Hershey Wildcats (A-League) and New Jersey Stallions (USL D3 Pro League).
Hare holds a NSCAA Advanced National and Premier and state goalkeeper diplomas.
