We've listened to your suggestions and came up with a few of our own, so without further ado, here are your nominees for the 2012 Revolution goal song.
Voting runs now through Friday, March 23 at 12 p.m. We'll reveal the 2012 goal song when the Revolution score their first home goal of the 2012 season! Cast your vote now (you can vote once per day).
Because of space constraints at Kino Sports Complex, we’ve been shooting our postgame videos just steps outside the Revolution’s locker room. This is what happens when players walking from the locker room to the bus spot a teammate being interviewed on camera …

Revolution all-time great Taylor Twellman is the only player in the history of the team to do a lot of things - win the MLS Most Valuable Player (2005), MLS Golden Boot (2005), MLS All-Star Game MVP (2005), score 101 career goals, etc. etc.
And as the above tweet stats, Taylor is also the only player in Revolution history to be born on leap day.
For Taylor's previous official birthday in 2008, we made this little video tribute to Taylor for his then-7th birthday and now seems like a good time to re-visit this.
Happy 8th birthday, Taylor!
As you know, the Revs opened the Desert Diamond Cup with a three-goal effort against the LA Galaxy on Wednesday night in Tucson.
That said, we'll be unveiling a new goal song in 2012. We have several songs in mind, and will be launching a poll with 8-10 songs to let fans vote on the new goal song.
Before we get the poll going, we'd like to give you guys a few days to suggest songs you'd like to hear as the 2012 goal song.
So, post in the comments if you have anything in mind, and if possible, post a link (youtube, spotify, etc.) so everyone can listen!
Have a great weekend, and be sure to catch the Revs take on the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night at 10 p.m. ET, live on MLSSoccer.com
We’ve got a Bigfoot situation on our hands here in Tucson.
No, we didn’t actually spot a Yeti, although that would be pretty cool. We’ll post that video if we do. What we do have is Benny Feilhaber talking about an allegedly breathtaking goal he scored during yesterday’s training session. The problem is – much like with Bigfoot – we didn’t capture the goal on film. So all we have to go by is Benny’s vivid description.
With some prodding from anxious onlooker Chris Tierney, Benny was adamant that he mention this alleged goal during yesterday’s post-training interviews. Now it’s up to you to watch and decide if it actually happened. I suppose it wouldn’t be all that outrageous for Feilhaber to score a highlight-reel goal. There was that whole 2007 Gold Cup Final against Mexico thing.
If you haven’t yet had a chance to check out the Revolution’s updated preseason roster, I’d suggest you do so here. There were quite a few new faces in camp for the first training session here in Tucson this morning and the roster was necessary even for those of us who’ve been around for the entire preseason.
All told, there are 10 players currently in camp with the Revs who are not under contract with the club, which accounts for approximately one-third of the players in camp. Included in that group are Supplemental Draft picks Alec Purdie, Michael Roach and Rick Smith.
Also traveling with the Revs to Arizona were Blake Brettschneider, Gabe Mercier and Jeremiah White, all of whom had spent time in camp with the Revolution prior to this trip. Joining the club here in Tucson were four fresh faces: Italian midfielder Luisito Campisi, British defender Tom Cruise, German defender Florian Lechner and Swedish forward Bjorn Runstrom.
Last Thursday we held our annual promotional photo/video shoots at Gillette Stadium. It was a whirlwind day, as the players visited three different stations set up throughout the stadium to cover all of the photo and video needs for us creative types to work our magic with. Over the coming weeks and months you'll see the products of the shoots on ads, billboards, TV Broadcasts, wallpapers and more. What you won't see in these media are the photos below.
And as you may have seen on Twitter, A.J. Soares had a camera crew from Comcast SportsNet following him throughout the shoots and that video should surface sometime in the near future on Comcast SportsNet.
Enjoy! Photos by David Silverman.
You're in the shot, dude
"A.J. Soares here, tell us what you think of photo day so far."
Uh, can you fix your hair, please? And sit up straight!
"Hey check out my quad!"
The guys made Kelyn laugh. A lot.
"Hey Chris, look what I found out back!"
"Cut it out, D. You'll pay for this if you keep messing with me..."
...true to his word, Kevin made Darrius laugh so hard he ran off after two photos and had to start over
In case you were wondering, the Revs did not sign former Seattle SuperSonics, Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks center Saer Sene. Different guy.
Cant wait for tomorrow. Ill finally be the big 17

We were kicking around ideas on how to properly highlight Diego's Valentine's Day birthday here on The Post, and this just seemed fitting. It was either this or "Seventeen" by Winger, but that song was written over ten years before Diego was born. Feel old yet? I do. Happy Birthday Diego! And to anyone out there who celebrates their birthday on this day of love, happy birthday to you, too.
UPDATE: Matt Reis had his own special way of wishing Diego a happy birthday following today's training session:
