This week on State of the Revs, Abby Chin chats with Jay Heaps, Brad Feldman and Jeff Causey recap the Revs' 2-1 win over D.C. United, and Revolution strength and conditioning coach Nick Downing gives an inside look into his role on the team.
The Revolution and Lee Nguyen came up big on Saturday night, with Nguyen scoring the go-ahead goal on a PK against D.C. United 'keeper Bill Hamid. Nguyen was stopped by Hamid on a previous PK attempt in the 57th minute, so as you can imagine, Lee was stoked to get a second chance.
So while the Revs walked away with three points, the Nguyen-Hamid PK battle ended in a draw: one save, one goal. The two exchanged tweets following the match, and the exchange was nothing but mutual admiration:
