Assistant Coach, Under-16s
Revolution Academy Technical Director
Ross Duncan is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Revolution Academy’s youth teams, and in his fifth season with the Revolution Academy. In addition to his Under-16 team coaching duties, Duncan has been a Technical Director for the Revolution Academy’s commercial training programs since 2010.
Prior to joining the Revs’ youth staff, Duncan spent two years with Major League Soccer Camps as a Player Development Officer before becoming its Director of Coaching for four years in 2006.
Previously, the Scotland native had several coaching stints with the Scottish Football Association and Dundee United FC of the Scottish Performance Tier League, returning on and off between 2001 and 2012, and coaching at the Under-10, -12 and -14 levels.
Duncan holds USSF “A”, SFA Advanced Children and SFA Goalkeeper licenses, and also has his National Certification in Sports and Leisure, Higher National Certification in Sports and Nutrition and High National Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development.
As a player, Duncan signed with Brechin City FC – a Scottish second division team – at the age of 13, and spent four years with the club before injury concerns led him to pursue a career in coaching.
