Khano Smith

RDS Technical Staff
Khano Smith is in his first season as an assistant coach with the New England Revolution’s Under-18 team. After two separate playing stints with the Revolution’s senior team, Smith joined the Revolution Academy coaching staff in 2011 as a staff coach. In 2012, he was promoted to the youth teams’ staff as an U18 assistant coach. He continues to serve as a member of the Revolution Academy’s Regional Development School (RDS) technical staff.
As a player, Smith joined the Revolution in 2005 and played three seasons with the Revs, making 62 appearances. He was selected by the Seattle Sounders in the 2008 MLS Expansion Draft, and then re-signed with the Revs in 2010 after spending time with the New York Red Bulls and Lincoln City (ENG).
He made 16 appearances with the Revs in 2010 before a joining the Carolina Railhawks (NASL) for a short stint in 2011. Smith retired from soccer and made the transition into coaching, earning his USSF “B” coaching license in the 2011 off-season and began working with former Revolution star Shalrie Joseph’s two clubs, PROformance Soccer Academy and Shalrie Joseph Soccer Club.
Smith is a former member of the Bermuda National Team, and earned more than 30 caps while scoring seven goals for his country. He appeared in seven FIFA World Cup qualifying matches for Bermuda, scoring three goals.
