Assistant Coach, Under-14s
Hobie Hare is in his first season as an assistant coach with the New England Revolution’s Under-14 team.
An experienced college coach, Hare is in his first year as an assistant coach with Tufts University’s men’s soccer program. Prior to joining the Jumbos, he spent three seasons as the assistant coach at DePaul University, helping lead the Blue Demons to three-consecutive berths in the BIG EAST Tournament. Hare also served as an assistant coach at Florida Gulf Coast University, the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and Rider University.
Hare also spent time coaching at the club level, serving as Director of Training for the Cape Coral Soccer Association – the third-largest soccer club in Florida – in 2007 and 2008.
As a player, played at the University of Connecticut for legendary coach Joe Morrone. After two seasons at UConn, he transferred to Rider University, where he played in two NCAA Division I tournaments and helped the team win two MAAC championships while playing for the Broncs.
After his collegiate career, Hare played professionally in England for Leyton Orient, before returning to the U.S. with stints with the Hershey Wildcats (A-League) and New Jersey Stallions (USL D3 Pro League).
Hare holds a USSF “E” coaching license, as well as NSCAA Premier and state goalkeeper diplomas.
