Former Revs midfielder moves back to native Great Britain after four-year MLS career
Dorman finished his career ranked among the top 10 of the Revolution career records for goals (ninth with 17) and assists (eighth with 18).

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Former New England Revolution midfielder Andy Dorman has signed a contract to play for St. Mirren FC of the Scottish Premier League. His original four-year contract with Major League Soccer to play for the New England Revolution expired at the end of the 2007 season.
Dorman, a native of Flintshire, Wales, returns to his native Great Britain after spending the last eight years in the United States. Following his graduation from Boston University, where he was a three-time All-New England honoree, he was drafted by the Revolution in the sixth round (56th overall) of the 2004 MLS SuperDraft.
“We wish Andy nothing but the best of luck with his new team and thank him for four years of dedication to the Revs,” Revolution Director of Soccer Michael Burns said. “During his time with the Revs, Andy always conducted himself in a professional manner both on and off the field.”
After starting the first 27 games of the 2007 Revolution campaign, Dorman moved to the substitutes bench for the final three games of the regular season and the Revs’ four playoff games. He finished his career ranked among the top 10 of the Revolution career records for goals (ninth with 17) and assists (eighth with 18).
The Revolution also announced that the team has waived second-year forward Willie Sims.
The Revolution open the 2008 season at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, March 29, when the team hosts the Houston Dynamo in a rematch of the last two MLS Cup championship games.
